Former boxer, who has been making a name for himself in the Indian boxing scene, is back to his boxing roots in a major way.
Former boxing champion and current boxing world champion Vijay Chugh, who was the world No 1 boxer in 2016, had retired from boxing in 2019 and had recently decided to move into the boxing world.
The former world No 2 was asked to take up boxing, as the sport is now a major business in India and is one of the few sports in the country to make money in a commercial manner.
Vijay Choudhury was the best boxer in the world in 2016 and he has also been making his name in the boxing scene in India.
He made his debut in the ring in 2016 against Gopal Singh, and lost by split decision.
He is now training and working for boxing promoter Vijay Lalwani and he recently made his first professional appearance in a boxing ring in Kolkata.
He has also fought for the Indian Boxing Federation.
Chugh is also working with a company called Keep Fit.
He is an American born boxer who lives in the US.
His wife is a boxing champion, but he had not had the chance to fight professionally before.
His new venture Keep Fit is an agency that promotes boxing matches across the world and has also developed boxing programmes for the government of the Indian state of Kerala.
“I am really looking forward to this.
I love the sport, the people, the place, and I feel this is the best option for me.
I want to be involved in the sport and I am not going to quit boxing,” he said.
Choudhuries team was formed after he got into the sport through boxing training in India, and it has been growing in size ever since.
He started boxing at the age of 15 and became world No 10 by winning his first world title in 2008.
He won two more world titles, in 2015 and 2017, before retiring from boxing.
The team has been working in the sports business for over a decade and now has a team of about 15 people.
They train and organise boxing tournaments and have even organised boxing tournaments for the Kerala state government.
“There are also boxing camps in India that we run for the states,” Chugh said.
He said the Kerala government was also very supportive of the team and has helped them with their programme and training.
“The Kerala government has helped us out with the budget and infrastructure we need to run this sport, and they have even funded us to travel and train in the States, so we can travel around the country and train at different camps,” Choudhs team president, Suresh Jha, said.
The company also has a boxing programme in the states of Kerala and Karnataka.
The state of Karnataka is also a boxing hotspot.
